A love letter...

My sweet baby Cade,

These past few days have been hard for you. You have been fighting a cold and just cut your 7th (yes, 7th!!) tooth. Even though it has been a little rough, you have been such a sweetheart. You are still smiling, making every sound in the book, and wobbling your head like a bobble head doll. We love your little tricks - you crack us up and make our hearts melt all at the same time.

I have been getting up with you in the middle of the night to help soothe your teething pain. We have spent nights on the couch, just the two of us and I would watch you drift off to sleep. You would play with my fingers, lacing your fingers in and out of mine until you had calmed down and slept peacefully.

I wanted to write this all down for you because there have been many sweet moments in these last 10 months, but this week has blessed me as a mother so much. I have been able to pray for you and spend precious time caring for your cold and new teeth. I'm exhausted and fighting my own cold, but couldn't be more content and joyful in my calling as a mother, your mother.

You are going to be 1 year old in a little less than two months and soon we will stop counting the months and the years will start to fly by like everyone says. I want so much to remember this moment and your sweet disposition. How you are turning from a baby to a boy who is curious, observant, happy and busy!

My heart is so full and grateful to the Lord for the privilege of raising you. It is my prayer every night before I put you in your crib that you would be saved at an early age and live a life that honors and serves the Lord in all that you do.

I love you so much - "to the moon and back" and "through and through."

xoxo,
Your truly blessed mama

Cade Goes To Disneyland!

Today was Cade's first trip to Disneyland! My sis and I decided to give it a go and see how the little man liked it. He LOVED it! He was so good and cheerful the whole time. Who wouldn't be lounging in the stroller snacking on peach puffs :)? When we arrived we had to get his 1st trip button, which he promptly decided to munch on (poor kid is teething like crazy). After a quick stop at the Baby Care Center to feed him lunch we headed to Small World for his first ride. It seemed appropriate to start with a Disney classic. There was so much for him to watch, and it was a lot of fun to watch him take it all in for the first time. Next we headed to Jungle Cruise... we had a thing for mellow water rides today.

It was a quick trip, kind of a trial run for a long day in a couple of weeks celebrating Grammie's birthday at Disneyland. We can't wait to go back!!

Sweet Smiles

I just had to share this sweet picture of our boy. He has learned to cock his head from side to side and thinks it is funny when you do it back to him. As he is approaching a year old his personality is developing so much and we love learning about our little man.
Hope this smile brightens your day!
